First used in 1992, the web banners have evolved rapidly in the most innovative ways as a form of advertising since then. They come in several sizes and forms, like static banner, and flash banner which is animated. Banners serve much the same purpose as print ads with the added advantage of being linked to the advertiser’s site.
Banners are the main form of advertising for click ads, and affiliate programs.

Text links are not renowned but related to the banner ads, with no graphics, and serving pretty much the same purpose such as the banners.
